People-powered Dean graphics
FYI to Dean supporters--there is a new site online called People Powered Graphics. It is at http://dean2004.bmgbiz.net

1. So it's okay to lift this off the site and bring it over to DU2?
It doesn't mess with their bandwidth?

2. Zidzi...
I think any time you copy image directly from a site, it robs their bandwidth. And, as I just discovered recently, posting images directly is against DU rules.

Good to see you around - were you taking a few days off?

:hi:

3. Really? Posting images directly? What does that entail?
Exactly? I know I wasn't suppose to post the "bat" from the Dean site as that robs bandwidth. But this other site seems to be asking to have the pictures passed along!

I gotta find out more! I'm always posting from google images. I guess that's okay, cause everyone is doing it.

I wasn't voluntarily taking any time off! I got locked out of being registered for 24 hours and it seemed longer. I found my own little special glitch with the new software and with our Administrators being so busy I couldn't get my name and password "reset" for about 24 long hours. But then EG came to the rescue! :toast:
I was "jonesing"! :-) And it's really good to be back! :D

:hi:

5. Nice to have you back!
How frustrating that must have been!

Simply put, anytime you copy a photo URL and post it here to get the picture - that's a no-no. You need to host it on your own server/computer. Someone here should be able to help you.

I've been doing it too - but I just found out yesterday it was a violation of the rules.

6. Thanks for telling me. I shall have to investigate further!
Drat. I love pasting "urls". But if I could find out how to do it on my "server"(this is new to me) I should be able to be back in business!?

7. THis is an e-mail I want to save.
Dear Senator Graham, Thank you for asking bushco the tough questions! Please keep it up. We really would like the answers and the only way we are going to get the truth is to keep hammering away.
It's a dirty job but a few of you Dems are doing it!

Thank you for helping to get back our Democracy!
