Voinovich: "Jerry Springer is a big problem for the Democratic Party"
The local public radio station was interviewing Senator Voinovich about steel tariffs and a few other issues. The radio host said, "We have thirty seconds, what do you think about Jerry Springer running against you?". All that Voinovich said was a terse, "Jerry Springer is a big problem for the Democratic Party".

If Springer is a big problem in the Democratic Party, I would hate to be representing a political party that had real, big problems like a divided base and a Resident with credibility problems and a plummetting approval rating.

Do you remember that the American religious leaders came out against the war? Do you remember that the business community was, in many parts, against the war?

A soldier who grew up in the suburbs of Voinovich's Cleveland was killed yesterday in Iraq.

The GOP has real problems.

3. My understanding is that the Republicans in Ohio...
have "Enroned" the state. During the eighties when the state was controlled by such great Dem's like
Governor Richard Celeste, Senators Glenn, and Metzenbaum, the state was shining. Since the repug's
took over the state turned into a quite a septic tank if you will.

What have you done to help your state Mr. Voinovich, Mr. Dewine, Mr. Taft??? I'll tell you what you have been doing, you three have been the bitches for the right wing corporatists. You do not give a damn about the working people in your state. Jerry Springer grew up poor and knows the value of a dollar. He wants to help them get decent jobs. He'll do much more for Ohio than every Repug thats ever existed could do combined!

10. good look up other threads here about his candidacy
polls show that he trails Voinovich even among Democrats. I would have no problem with a Sen. Springer, but I hope he loses the primary since it would mess up things big time.
