Edwards used an analogy last night which I've been using here for months
He said that the middle and working class are the enginge of economic growth and that bush is putting a huge burden on them, making it hard for them to pull the economy up. Bush has undurdened the wealthy, which is what is forcing the rest to have to work so hard that their backs are breaking.

I just wanted to point that out.

If people are wondering why I pull so hard for Edwards, that's why. I think something, then I hear it from him.

1. I heard him say
that in the other debate also and I liked it. That Bush is shifting the tax burden from wealth to work. Explaining it that way helps bring it home to the pocketbook and it makes sense.

4. It's the "engine" part that is a metaphor I've used before...

...and I believe I used it way back in 2001.

2. Edwards is on my short list of choices
Unfortunately, I don't have cable so I don't get to watch any of these recent debates to help me make up my mind. The only debate I've seen was the PBS one in New Mexico a month or so ago. That was pre-Clark.

When's the next free TV debate?

Or are the cable debates available anywhere online? Sound alone would be plenty for me, I think.

3. It's the first time to listen to him
And I liked what I heard. He sounds like he truly cares and is genuine about what he wants to do for our country. I now am looking forward to the next debate. :D

5. Phoenix Debate on C-Span
6:30 Sunday. Then it will probably by online for those without cable.

7. I like Edwards. Kucinich is fighing hard for the working and middle class
too. That is something important to look at in selecting a Presidential candidate. Dean can't seem to even comprehend the burden that is being placed on the middle class.

8. Edwards comes off best at ALL of the debates. The closer you get
the better he looks. And not just that cute face, but his positions, his personality, his charisma, his character.

9. We'll never elect a candidate against middle class tax cuts
And that means Gephardt and Dean are unelectable, whatever convulted reasoning they use to explain why the middle class is better off losing their tax cut.
Edwards has exactly the right message and what's more he has been really smart about how to explain what GWB is doing - shifting all taxes to working people.
