Latest North Carolina Poll
Latest North Carolina Poll

The Raleigh News & Observer has issued a new poll, though I don't see it anywhere on their site. It was conducted 9/9-12, and has an MOE of +/- 4.5. (July results in parenthesis)
Edwards 37 (43)
Dean 23 (12)
Kerry 17 (20)
Gephardt 8 (10)
Lieberman 6 (9)
Undecided 5 (3)
Clark 3 (1)
Kucinich 1 (0)
Graham 0 (1)
Sharpton 0 (1)
Braun 0 (0)
Edwards has 94 percent name identification, Gephardt 81 percent, Dean 68 percent and Kerry 67 percent.

As for favorability ratings, here's how Bush and Edwards stack up:
Bush
Favorable: 55
Unfavorable: 34

Edwards
Favorable: 47
Unfavorable: 38

Let the talk begin.

1. Bush favorable
is 55% and Edwards at 47%. You mean Bush is ahead of Edwards in his home state? If this is so Edwards has an uphill battle.I don't think he will be taken serious if he can't win there.

4. This is a largely
Republican state with several army, marine and navy bases in it. Camp Le Jeune alone has a huge number of soldiers in Iraq right now. A lot of people here perceive being anti-Bush as being anti-soldier. It is really hard for some people here to separate the two things.
