KIRO Seattle, Where do they get these guys?
Well, I forgot that the Mariners are on a different station, and tuned in Kiro for a second, long enough to hear that polls taken today suggest that Gov Locke's rating down to 11%, why do the people put up with it, ripe for a repuke takeover the announcer man sezs. Why can't Jennifer Dunn run, or the sheriff of King County after a recall effort. I got to thinking that maybe the low approval rating is due to completely giving away every concession possible to Boeing in an effort to get the new plane built here, costing the state something like $150,000 per job, and completely gutting unemployment in the meantime. Yeah sure recall Gary Locke, where do they get these radio people. This station is not even our local Limbo hate station.

Seriously the dems could run JC himself, but until we get the media back, it aint worth nothing.

3. I've got to say
I've got to say that there are two people worthwhile on KIRO AM 710.

Dave Ross (9AM-noon weekdays), who is actually a little right of center, has been relentless on his questioning of what Bush is really up to ever since he "saw the light" with the lies. It took him a while, but he's unusually intellectual for a talk show host. Over the past couple of weeks, he's said over and over again how he supported the war in the beginning but that, now, he's "not so sure." Even a milquetoast comment like that is like a clap of thunder in the talk-show world.

Mike Webb (10PM - 1 AM weekdays) is a fire-breathing anti-Bush blowtorch. Once he gets wound up, he really hits the nail on the head and calls Bush for the criminal he is. He repeatedly states that we should "lock Bush up, or at least kick his ass back to Crawford." He's funny as hell to boot. You should hear him play the monkeys who call like a violin.

As for Locke, his lack of support comes from two things. First, all incumbents are held in low regard right now because of Bush's dismantling of the federal government, which funds many desirable state programs. Since Washington's tax structure is so horribly regressive, it is politically impossible to replace missing federal funds with a local source of money. Second, Locke hasn't even announced if he's running again. The numbers are meaningless now. Once there's a campaign, things will change.

Granted, Locke is a DLC democrat (Republican lite), but with the richest people in the world living in Washington tax free, and Boeing operating practically tax free, that isn't going to change.
