"A Forum on the Faith Community's Responses to the 'War on Terror'"

Saturday, May 15, 2004
2:00 - 4:00 pm

Monroe County Public Library Auditorium
303 E. Kirkwood Ave.
Bloomington, Indiana

This forum and discussion will be lead by Fred Cate from Indiana University's Law School, Nancy Anderson of the Bloomington Islamic Center, and Dan Conkle from I.U.'s Law School.

The 'War on Terror' and civil liberties are the stuff of daily headlines. These issues are central to the fabric of our society, but, not much public discussion is happening through the lens of the faith community.

What do we need to know to put our faith into action today?

How do we stand with others in the faith community to shape our post-9/11 world?

One forum cannot address or begin to resolve the issues that face us as a nation at this time. But, it can begin a necess! ary dialogue and reflection.

Sponsored by the Bloomington Friends Meeting (Quakers)
