I marched in Denver today.
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 09:07 PM by Roon
It was my first protest and I had a lot of fun. I didn't realize how much of an education I was going to get though..Some things that I noticed:
I was surprised of the number of Kucinich supporters. It was great to see you all.

I did not see one Kerry supporter and I assume that is because Kerry supported the war.

There was one counter-demonstrater.

I was surprised of the reaction of the general population to our protest. These people were SHOCKED and there were a LOT of them!! Mouths agape, wondering what is wrong with these people that are opposed to the war.

I hate to tell you all of this. We are going to lose big time in November. I pray that I am wrong, but I know what I saw today.

Hillary 2008

On Edit: I was wearing a Bob Marley shirt with a digital camcorder..anyone see me?

2. I don't think we are going to lose
because many people increasingly believe that:

1. Bush misled us about the war/WMD

2. Increasing deaths and expense of war/occupation

3. Bush does not understand people's concerns - economic and otherwise ( other than their fear)

4. Few jobs created

5. Poor way of managing foreign policy

6. polls seem to reinforce this, at least the ones I have seen

7. Bush is in trouble - why else would he be running ads this early?

8. Don't give up! :)

4. You are in Colorado
I don't think we are going to lose, but we will probably lose in your conservative state unless Salazaar can tip the tide.

Come to a war protest in the NE or Iowa (upper midwest) or out west. We will be fine.

3. Hey!
I think I might have seen you--I was the guy with the big "YEE-HA IS NOT A FOREIGN POLICY" sign. :)

5. lol
Yee-haa is not a foreign policy!!

That's awesome. Sadly, it has been the foreign policy for the past 3 years. Let's all work to change it.

When I came home and showed my friends the video tape, they all liked your sign. :-D
