1. Absentee ballots

I'm an IT security administrator who used to be a programmer and I'm here to tell you that electronic voting cannot be valid without a paper record backing it up. Without paper, it's only bits and bytes, electrons on magnetic/digital media, that can be changed at will by those controlling the programs.

Everyone concerned about this issue (if you aren't already, you should be), should vote using absentee ballots until it's settled.

3.  Lighting the Torches under the DNC

Lighting the Torches under the DNC

I've been informed that the DNC has made a resolution already in favor of HR 2239/S.1980. (below is her scoop on the stance of the DNC)

This is good, but in my opinion not good enough. They frequently send out email alerts to their list and i've been on it for a while and have received none.

I hearby call on today Jan 29th till Feb 5th our Blogging the DNC week.

I suggest that each of you write to the DNC calling on an action alert to be sent out immediately, i mean time is running out quick. They don't have and email address, but you can go here to contact them at ........

Democratic National Committee
430 S. Capitol St. SE
Washington, DC 20003

Main Phone Number:

Write yourself and please recruit as many of your friends to do the same. They also have a weblog on the site, i haven't figured out how to set up a log myself, but i'm sure once you register (which is easy) you can add comments as you like.

NOTE: This should be a weekly action. Finding ourselves prominent activist groups and lobbying them in a coordinated effort to take up the issue.

There's a serious effort to RECALL Republican Governor Frank Murkowski. The site is at www.RecallMurkowski.com . I think they may pull this off!
