Help support Universal Single Payer Health Care - June 7th Action Week
"Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane." –Martin Luther King, Jr.

Citizens in Spread the Messsage: "Everybody In, Nobody Out!"

On June 7th, events across the country will celebrate the fact that we have a bill in Congress, H.R. 676 that will deal equitably with the healthcare crisis for all of us. We are encouraging everyone to join us in these events by organizing one or joining one already organized in your city or area.

Help us tell Washington that we want a Health Care system that works for everyone.

Information at:
Healthcare-NOW!:
339 Lafeyette Street, New York, NY 10012

1. I feel like I'm running around in circles
We've been fighting for years for this, but the bill always ends up getting killed in committee, or it dies on the House or Senate floor because somebody doesn't want the government cutting into profit margins by collectively bargaining for better prices.

2. Yes, but

the economy is changing and support is growing. We now have a number of states marching towards Single Payer.

See this list.

Look at the link for the Ohio network just as an example and then look at the endorsers' page.

The Cleveland City Council is considering endorsing the Health Care For All Ohioans Act

The California state senate passed a universal health care bill. There is a lot more going on now as counties and states face picking up higher costs for Emergency room use by those without health care, who put off seeking help because they cannot afford it.

We just have to keep the pressure on and keep educating our neighbors.

3. Yeah, you're right in the end
If it can't be done at the federal level, it could be done at the state level, and if there is enough effort, maybe it can be done on a multi-state level where several states pool together their resources and offer their respective citizens the same coverage.

5. Remember ANDY. One year ago today he was at Johns Hopkins...
...for his operation.

If our nation had decent, timely healthcare for all, Andy MIGHT still be alive today.

Healthcare for all became one of Andy's goals (in addition to Voter-Verified Paper Ballots and accurate elections -- which we must have if we are to get any other changes for the good.)

6. NATIONALIZE MORE THAN JUST PAYER {=insurer source}
nationalize all four corners of healthcare or you'll be sorry.

dr's
hospitals/nur homes
insur
Big Pill

look at how big pill has wrecked old age medicare, because we did not naionalize Big Pill

on this day of activism, expand the demand to all four corners of healthcare.

Greed has overrun all four corners. Prices for dr's and hosps and Big Pill will keep skyrocketing if you do not nationalize.

Current "one payor" is nice, but too meek.
