They are going to have to build enthusiasm for turnout by linkage to an exciting Dem alternative "just in case" or "to show them we can do better). A grim, noble battle against stupidity and glitz MIGHT win if the media was fair. Something smarter, more unifying and more positively emotional is called for.

Turning the fight around subtly is also crucial- and professional. Davis teasing with a possible resignation would be tricky. Supporting Bustamante would be too. Subdividing and deflating the GOP coup machine
without letting everyone think they are fighting over your corpse is tricky too.

Learning from the bitter lessons of the past(Reagan, Ventura) would be most refreshing as well. We know what does not work, at least as solitary allof strategies.
