Can anyone recommend a Windows email client?
My wife uses Mozilla for her email...but its mail client has been consistently screwing up her email (weird duplicated messages, etc) for some time now.

I am looking for a (free!) email client to replace it. She uses POP to get her email.

I'm thinking of Mahogany at the moment, but it's still in beta form (version 0.66 or so). Are there any other good free clients out there? Thanks!

3. Mozilla.
They have a free stand-alone email client. It does not execute vb viruses, hence it is more secure.

8. Pegasus
I've used that as an alternate email client, when I had to pull down 'suspicious' email. It's not susceptable to viruses like outlook is.

That said, I've always had good experiences with Mozilla. It sounds as though your wife's email database is corrupted. She might want to save it off and let the client generate a fresh one.

9. I vote for Mozilla
or the stand alone client Thunderbird. I would also let a new email database be generated.

10. Stay from the browsers and Outlook
browsers are just yucky.

Outlook is full of security holes, and lacks proper functionality.

I saw someone recommend Pegasus, and that's a good one.

But I recommend The Bat!, from http://www.ritlabs.com

I recommend the Bat! often here on DU and for good reason - for my money (and it's not very much) it's the most powerful and customizable email program. And it has no security problems or holes. And it's far, far mroe powerful than any email client I've ever come across.

It's not free, but it's only 20-30 bucks, and VERY much worth the price. A friend of mine talked me into getting it and after using it for a few weeks I realized what a god-like program it is and I've never gone back.
