Wendy Carlos is a Genius
First she did this:

All on a Moog Synthesizer.

Then she did this:

1. When she teamed up with Weird Al it was great.
"Peter And The Wolf" and their version of "Carnival Of The Animals."

3. We STILL have Switched-on Bach!
And a turntable upon which to listen to it!

I LOVE it!

4. Did you know each track was recorded separately?
Adds a certain 'labor intensive' nature to the deal...

12. A Moog only lets you play one note at a time
Unlike pianos, organs and harpsichords...

That makes it that much more impressive...

10. Yeah, having toyed around a bit with analog synth programming...
Putting together arrangements of that complexity, especially with 60s recording equipment must have been an insane amount of work.

11. Yep - Moogs back then were monophonic
As in one note at a time...

14. Before that, she had to use Heathkit Sine-Square Audio Generators
and incredible amounts of detailed tape splicing

9. I grew up listening to that one.
It was one of my dad's favorites back then. It may still be. He used to play it all the time. Loudly.

13. CBS masterworks "half-speed mastered" edition.
Been played twice in 30 years. Once to check it out, then once to make a tape of it. Need to play it again to make a CD, since the tape's been gone for years.

6. They went back and changed the cover text?

I remember when she changed her name to Wendy, I was confused.
