Sleep deprived,,,, new puppy.
We brought home a new puppy, it must be about 35 hours ago, and I have not sept more than a couple of hours since then.
He is a Golden, nine weeks old, sweet and cuddly. His name is Samwise Gamgee ****** the Brave( & fluffy).
Sorry, no picture yet as camera died. Trust me, fuzzy face you just want to kiss.

2. A farm dog had a couple of puppies and we were lucky enough to find him.
We have got a couple of dogs from farmers and the others from rescues. Our other Golden is a farm dog and our Lab/Shepard mix is a rescue. They are 10 and 3 years old. Been looking for a rescue or family dog Golden for a while, it happened really quick this week.
Sitting here listening to all 3 dogs and hubby snoring. Life don't get much better than this.

3. I so very much hear exactly what you said.
I waited 20 whole years between Goldens because I did not want one unless I could be home all day to just be around it, not to mention it was not fair to the breed, they are such velcro babes.
Right now trying to materialize a goldie puppy, our adult guy is 6 years old and needs the company, for some reason the 2 cats do not quite do it for him!
I chose Mr. Dixie years ago because he is the human version of a Golden:
cute, has big brown soft eyes, adorable, sweet natured, calm, and very intelligent.
His ears are shorter, tho.

4. Despite the current lack of sleep, you are in for a treat.
Almost 15 years ago I brought home a golden puppy and named him Duffy. It was a lot of work at first but he paid me back manyfold. He only passed away a few weeks ago. I loved every day with him. Enjoy!

6. I am so sorry for the loss of your Duffy.
We lost our 15 year old lab mix in May and I miss him everyday.
