Sex and Death. This is what we Mammals are all about.
Whether it is the Dolphin who kills a Porpoise or a Serial Killer who kills his or her "prey" - this is our species

Not a pretty sight, is it?

But I think this reflects our thinking more than any great work, great movie, great song or great thought.

We are all about sex and death.

Why?

Could it be a holdover from our days as arachnids (female arachnids kill the males, eat them and have babies post coitus) ?????

Could it be the inevitable association between physical death and our "public death" post coitus?

Or could it go deeper than this???

It's there - and I am sure it goes beyond modern life....

I assume sex and death remain paired due to some weird evolutionary link...

But change my mind - or reinforce it...

1. It's simpler than that. It's all about sex. Death is caused by sex.
Before sex was invented, life was immortal. Whenever a cell got tired, it would divide in two and the two halves would each start over again.

For all we know, the very first cell is still going on somwhere.

2. Interesting point...
But death is an inevitability, if only for the survival of our species...

3. A somber thought, but future generations will have
these few valiant posts to remember us by. Vita brevis, ars longa.
