1. A few more years and it will relax completely.
Sometimes it takes a while to sit down.

2. Awww. I love old barns.
We used to have so many of them around here, I wish I'd taken pictures. My gr. grandfather homesteaded and built one that looks just like this, over a hundred years ago. It's still standing straight and tall. My Dad built one with the help of us little kids and we spent many, many nights sleeping up in the loft with kittens running all over. There's nothing in the world better than a clean barn filled with contented animals and the smell of fresh hay. This one looks like it was built with love. Gorgeous picture.

5. When I see old barns and houses I imagine how they must have been loved once.
A source of youthful pride for a young couple. They started a family here. How many fun times and holidays were here? How many fights and forgivenesses? How many sorrows?

I always imagine the smell of wood so fresh from the saw it still smells hot. The sound of hammering. The beauty of untested hope.
