7. My wife used to work at an airport gift shop/news stand
and during her tenure there many famous people came through. She either said Howdy to or even got autographs from:
Tyra Banks
David Faustino (Bud from Married With Children)
Carrot Top (He's from here so she actually saw him flying in and out a couple different times)(BTW, It seems to be fun for people to rag on CT but I went to one of his shows once it it was one of the funniest damn hour and changes I have ever had)
Weird Al
Jonathan Slavin (was on Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Better OFf Ted and some other things. HE was easily the nicest of the bunch and wrote her a long and funny autograph)
Sean Connery (she still gets a little woozy when she thinks about that. "The voice...I just can't forget that voice....") And he did sign an autograph for her.

and Spike. We all loved Buffy and Angel at our house so she was especially excited to see him come into her store but he was easily the most rude of all of the stars that ever came in.

Now she is not the type of person who feels famous people owe her anything. She was almost always very content to just say "Hi, i love your work..." and let it go. Most of the autographs she got were offered freely and graciously (She did ask for Connery's but she was so star struck with him she mostly just mumbled and he was kind enough to do it and move on lol)(apparently she wasn't one of the women that 'shometimes need a shmack...")(also this was before we heard about all that)but with Spike she was barely into "Wow we love your show..." before he was all up into "Yeah yeah, I'm in a hurry let's move it...".

so she just had to stare at him while they waited for the register to do its thing. Plenty of time there to let a fan just say "nice work" instead of letting a fan become a not fan.

Yeah I reckon it happens...on the other hand
maybe she bears a little of the blame - she did call him "Spike" instead of James...

a hard time breaking out of the Spike mold.

I've never seen him in anything that wasn't Spike related - at least not that I remember and that would be just as bad...

32. We ran into Carrot Top at a store in Las Vegas.
Dude behind us in line complimented my wife on her flip-flops and asked where we got them, because they looked comfortable for walking up and down the Strip. It was Carrot Top, who was playing at one of the resorts there. Hell of a nice guy.
