Will the lack of a Facebook or other social networking presence soon harm your job prospects?
Just curious how folks feel about this. I'm asking because recently it has become a common practice for companies to screen out applicants over unfortunate online photos or commentary, even if years old. Might the reverse also apply: you're considered a misfit if there's nothing out there on you?

1. If a prosepective employer asks during an interview
why you aren't on Facebook, you could say you've been pretty busy volunteering at a soup kitchen, teaching English to immigrants, planting a community garden, repairing your elderly neighbor's roof, and building houses for Habitat for Humanity, so you just haven't got around to opening a Facebook account...
