1. I THINK that's just you

2. Well, it's not the best doppelbock out there, to be sure....
but fermented tootsie rolls? That's a tad harsh.

Try Ayinger's Celebrator. Or even Weihenstephan's Korbinian. Much better Doppels.

4. Guinness is just the Gaelic word for Budweiser, dontcha know.
"The Legend" isn't the best stout. hell, it isn't even the best stout from Ireland. As Bill Gates would tell you, a killer ad campaign can overcome many shortcomings in the product...

5. When I saw that clip on The Simpsons, I sent it to my buddy who swears by that choco-swill.

7. Nope. Porterhouse's stout beats the hell out of Guinness.
Guinness isn't worth the burnt barley that gives it its horrific chalky quality.

9. Could be worse.
I actually know people who still think Michelob is the pinnacle of the brewer's art, even after having some excellent craft brews.

But seriously, if you've never had the stout or oyster stout from Porterhouse, I seriously recommend it. While you may still drink Guinness afterward, it would no longer be your "go to" beer...

10. have had
A bit too sweet for my liking- same problem with Murphys and Beamish- Sad thing is I haven't had a stellar pint of any draught beer since May 2006 in the Shannon airport.
Cheers
