Garage chemists, check in.
So we customized a closet to hide a washer and dryer, except the fitting is tight and we need a funnel with a flexible hose to reach the bleach dispenser. We found the perfect funnel at Home Depot, except it's made out of tin. I tried checking the internet, but could not find out if bleach corrodes tin. Any chemists out there who have the answer?

1. Edited out of existence.

Thought better of it, sent a PM instead.

Short answer: Bleach corrodes everything but copper, gold, platinum and very few other metals to at-least some extent.

2. Are plastic funnels safe?
Unfortunately, they all have straight funnel ends. Maybe we can figure out how to extend it?

3. I'd assume so.
The bottle the bleach comes in is made of plastic. For other ideas, ask a HS chem teacher...they always seem to know this stuff. I just know what I PMed you because I was once a 14 year old boy and troublesome.

6. After what I learned tonight, I wanted some reassurance.
When I was a kid we use to make switchblades out of popsicle sticks and rubberbands.

We thought we were bad asses when we flicked them out of our back pockets.

4. You need a plastic funnel with a flexible end?
Check any auto parts store.

7. Here's a Material Safety Data Sheet for bleach solution:
... Sodium hypochlorite will react with metals such as aluminum, tin, and zinc to generate flammable and explosive hydrogen gas ... http://www.ggc.com/uploads/100040_msdsOther/100082.pdf

8. Couldn't you just attach a length of flexible rubber or silicon hose
to a regular short-spouted plastic funnel? They sell the hose by the foot in various diameters in the plumbing aisle.

10. If the auto parts store fails, this is what we'll do. Thanks.

12. Couple of variations on a transmission funnel:
These are readily available (and pretty cheap) at any auto parts store. You can use any plastic funnel and some vinyl tubing to make your own. You'd just want to make sure it seals tight and won't come apart at an inopportune moment.
