Speaking as one who lives near (but, fortunately, not in) her district, I can attest to the weapons-grade lunacy of this woman, which was manifest even when she was in the state legislature. But she kept getting her crazy ass re-elected, even in this generally blue state. Her district has been weirdly gerrymandered to include enclaves of teabaggers and talibornagains. Interestingly, while it may be just an urban legend, supposedly there is something called "Stearns County Syndrome," based on the inbreeding and resulting defects claimed to be rampant in Stearns County, Minnesota. This county is in Bachmann's district, and it is home to some of her most ardent supporters. Probably just a coincidence.

7. Ames Straw Poll is this upcoming weekend.

40,000 people will participate. According to a Rasmussen poll of Iowans, published this AM, Bachmann is ahead of Romney, 22% to 21%. I wonder if things would be different if all those thousands of people saw this pic.
