I guess this is the right place for this

I am in SUCH a good mood tonight that I just had to share.

Two reasons:

1. All evening I've been watching my local PBS station with its oldies specials -- 50s and 60s music -- (pledge drives). My generation had the BEST music ever, and hearing it always puts me in a really mellow mood, opens my heart, brings back all those feelings of hope, joy, optimism. We truly thought anything was possible. (If I'd have known we'd end up here, I'd have said, HELL no, I won't go... but that's another story, isn't it?).

2. I think I finally figured out a way to bring in some badly needed extra money to supplement our social security. (Gee, with the events of the past week and yesterday, let's hope there'll continue to be such a thing as Social Security so I'll just be "supplementing," not "supplanting." Whew, what a thought. Yikes.) I'll find out more on Monday. But all day I've been dreaming of a few of the things I could get if I can have just a little more money. What fun that was. I wasn't TRYING to think of ways to spend the money I don't yet have, things just kept popping into my head.

Wishing more fabulous music, mellow moods, open heart, hope, joy, optimism and prosperity for everyone -- now and always.

I have to admit I was a little hesitant to post it at all, given how terrible conditions are for so many. But, feeling guilty and "undeserving among the masses" doesn't help anyone, does it? If I can expand my prosperity a bit, I'll be in a position to share some of it. As it is, we're barely keeping our heads above water. BUT, I'm looking for better days ahead.
