15. you might find this amusing then....
from useless knowledge.... According to a British medical report, the fungi that feed on old paper may be mildly hallucinogenic, and the "fungal hallucinogens" may cause an "enhancement of enlightenment" in readers. The source of creative inspiration for many great authors through history may have been a quick sniff of moldy books, causing them to get high.

35. Nice. :D
I wonder if that's why my cat always jumps up to rub his face all over my book and then lay down right under it so that the book's lightly resting on his head. If so, I'd consider that a 'two-fer' - two highs for the price of one! har.

Teak, with sliding leaves out can seat 10 comfortably.

With leaves in, fits in kitchen, looks good and
makes me smile when I look at it.

Still "in love" with my $50.00 table 15 years after
finding it.

24. A winter coat large enough to wear over several sweaters
I was working at a barn in the winter and needed the warmth. I think I paid $5 for it.

The REAL bonus was finding a hundred dollar bill in the pocket on a day when I had $2 left for the rest of the month and needed food and gas for the car. That money kept me going for a couple of months since it was about half my monthly pay.

30. Oh crap, am I old!
My first typing course was using something like that. The teach taped a piece of paper at the top that hid the keys, so we had to learn touch typing. It worked - so I could type 100 WPM w/no errors in 1969. I even won an 'award' Thanks for the memory! :toast:

Resold it to a friend of mine at the same price because his old Marantz had died, as I was (and still am) rocking a very nice Yamaha RX-530 that I had gotten at the same store for $15...
