2. (What’s The Story) Morning Glory....
Edited on Wed Jun-29-11 07:53 PM by Little Star
Just recently watched it on-demand. I don't know if it's my all time favorite but it had me laughing out loud in some parts. What's not to like about Dianne Keaton and Harrison Ford??????

Here is a link to a review.

3. You've just named two of my favorites...
The Ref and Dr. Strangelove are wonderful. Let me add The Inlaws (Arkin-Falk original version) to the list.

6. First movie that comes to mind...
whenever I'm asked this question is My Cousin Vinny. There are a few more I like...but this is definitely at the top of my list. Doesn't matter how many times I watch..I still laugh.

14. Duck Soup and Animal Crackers
with the Marx Brothers, in fact pretty much all of the Brothers Marx through "A Night At the Opera"

South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut (first time I saw it I was laughing so hard during "Uncle Fucker" I thought I was gonna have a heart attack)

Animal House

A LOT of Laurel and Hardy, especially Big Business (perhaps the funniest single thing ever committed to film) and The Music Box.

18. Those are all parodies and all very funny
"Airplane" is an obvious parody of "Zero Hour" (1957).

"This Is Spinal Tap" is a parody of rock documentaries.

"Dr. Strangelove" is a parody of "Fail Safe" - both the novel and the movie.
Poor old "Fail Safe" never had a chance after "Dr. Strangelove" opened first.
Final score: Kubrick 1, Lumet 0.
