I am 32 today. And it is freaking me out.
Firstly, I've now lived 3 years longer than my older sister did. Secondly, I'm 32! I still feel like that awkward 12 year old who is the weird chubby girl, only instead of school, I go to work. It's very disconcerting. And I'm going to be 40 soon! I'm terrified.

2. Happy Birthday!
Revel in it. Oh, and we all feel awkward some of the time, whether or not we admit it as openly as you.

I'd commit any number of vile and unspeakable acts to be 32 again . . . .

4. My dear YellowRubberDuckie!
Happy Birthday, sweetie!

I guess from my lofty (ha!) age of 67, 32 looks pretty good...

Some days I still feel like the awkward 12 year old as well...

Try to relax and enjoy yourself!

8 years is not soon, either...40 isn't old!

Enjoy your life...you have many many years left to kick up your heels and leave a good mark on the world!

5. I'll be 43 ad I feel like a big dorky kid too.
First, I'm sorry to hear you lost your sister so young. That puts a different perspective on things. But I do think most people feel like an award 12-year-old or some kind of imposter posing as a responsible adult and we're all kind of waiting to be found out.

Hang in there.

6. I am 72 and I am grateful I have lived this long.
It is better than the alternative, which is 6 feet under. I cried the day I turned 30 and thought my live was over at that time.

9. I turned 50 last week. Nothing different from 49.
A bit different from High School as I have gained a bit of weight.

11. The number should NEVER freak you out. Other things might though.
I'm in my 40's and feel great, in about the best shape of my life (and I played varsity soccer, wrestling, and JV baseball, in HS), and don't have anymore youth filled anxieties.

It isn't a bad thing - numbers.

23. Whoa, hold up there. Not to get too personal, but wouldn't IBS cause you to think more about...
what's getting sent through the stream in order to keep everything on the up and up? When I say thinking about fiber, I don't just mean thinking about how to get more, but also how to balance it in your meals, how to avoid getting too much, etc. Maybe this whole line of discussion is just demonstrating that I'm also 32.

19. Happy Birthday!
:toast: :bounce: :hi:

I am 33, and I still feel like I am 18 sometimes. It still hasn't hit me that I am an adult and have a "real" job.

I could care less what the number says. It doesn't matter to me. We have to live life without thinking we are getting "older". It's better that way.

25. 32 is NOT almost 40.
Now 38 is. (thats me)

But 40 doesn't seem to bother me. Now 45, that scares the shit out of me for no particular reason that I can think of.

26. Here's what a friend of mine said...
She just turned 60 and said: "You know, the best part about turning 60 is that in 10 years I'll be 70!" I thought that was pretty cool! Happy B'Day. Just go with it.
