1. If you have the chance to see a taiko drum show, I most HIGHLY recommend it!!!!!
.
.
.
I've seen two -- one in Moab, UT (!!!) with a local ensemble and a touring
Japanese ensemble and one here in Tucson with its local ensemble.
.
.
.
It is an incredibly intense visceral experience -- you will literally
FEEL the drums vibrations washing over you.

Thanks for your always inspiring posts. So much to love about Japan and its people and culture. I download a lot of Japanese flute music.

5. We saw them when they came to Portland last fall!
LOVED them! They performed with Portland Taiko and it was so much fun. My husband walked into the SF Taiko dojo one day in February while he was there on business and met Grand Master Tanaka-sensei. Pretty cool.
