On personal computer operating systems, fdisk (for "fixed disk") is a commonly used name for a command-line utility that provides disk partitioning functions. fdisk writes the master boot record.

Hey, did you know you can save desk space by hanging your desktop sideways from the underside of your desk? It's much more convenient than putting it on the floor... you don't knock it with your feet so much, and it's safe in case of flooding problems.

I use several neodymium magnets to attach mine to the bottom of the desktop... they hold it firmly in place but allow me to move or remove the unit easily, and I don't have to drill into the case or the desktop.

Back before Windows I used to wow my colleagues by using DOS command switches to get better results on common commands like "dir." Early Windows systems made me LESS efficient, LOL.
