Just found out my buddie died in his sleep last Saturday..

He sent me an e-mail the night he passed. I knew it was some silly gun/gun-grabbing by liberal commie bs. I would have gotten to it by this weekend, and for the laugh, I might send a shot back.

George was one of the best, friendliest, generous, decent, loving guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I've only know him for 7 years or so. Alley called me and left a message saying she had news. I knew by her voice it was bad.

George was a fellow Apache, not many out here in Los Angeles. Despite bears not figuring in a positive manner in our mythology, George had the honor of his bearskin and danced at many dozens of healing celemonies.

I took him for granted thinking he is just a twenty minute drive from my house. Thinking if I wanted to talk to him I could do so anytime..There is never enough time.

A lifelong friend of my wife's family died in her sleep about 2 years ago...she was in her late 40's and was never sick. It just is that way sometimes.
