Power cut out ten minutes ago. The UPS units are all screaming, and we've got a lot of them.

2. No, just a dozen or so UPS units scattered about the house. The power just came back on.

It was on and off again for about ten minutes and then dropped off entirely. It just came back about five minutes ago so hopefully it will stay up this time. The school district canceled for the day because of downed wires on one of the school grounds (along with the arctic hell weather conditions).

4. Actually, a generator would be great but I can't afford it. I'd like a windmill but can't have one.

Our township has a 1/2 acre minimum for installation windmills and I've only got .42 acres. The kind I want is the double-helix on a post.

I hope it does stay up for you. Are you well prepared if it doesn't? We are snowed in, too.

We would like a windmill, too, and can have one since we live out in the country but it's a matter of being able to afford it and the generator/converter.
