37. I'll post it!
One of those (rare) great Beatles tunes that never seems to get any respect.

17. There's much more. Just keep clicking....
Steve Marriott was one of the greatest singers in the history of rock and roll and the Small Faces were an absolutely brilliant band.

22. They had very limited US airplay
Their first manager, Don Arden (Sharon Osbourne's father), was robbing them blind and he didn't want to run the risk of losing them if he allowed an American promoter to bring them over to tour. Back then, no tour, no AM airplay, no AM airplay, no hits. Itchycoo Park did make it to the Top 20 in the US in 1967, and I think Tin Soldier briefly charted, but that was it. In the UK, they had a slew of hits, including several Number 1's.

Steve quit the band in early '69 and formed Humble Pie with Peter Frampton. The other three wandered in the wilderness for awhile and then eventually hooked up with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, dropping the Small and becoming The Faces, eventually (and sadly) later known as Rod Stewart and the Faces.

33. I listened to all of Ogdens Nut Gone Flake last week while stuck in my car in a snowstorm and
I was struck once again not only by it's brilliance, but by it's timelessness. Hippy trippy stuff, for sure, but still almost classical material.

Nothing against Tommy or Sgt. Pepper, but, for me at least, it's a far superior concept album in part because it manages somehow to transcend it's era. And it never ceases to piss me off when it doesn't make those Best Albums of All Time lists.

No matter, it made what otherwise would have been a hellish ride home rather enjoyable.

21. Kristin Hersh - Flipside
There's always drooling zombies
Or at least on dick
I'm having trouble focusing
'Cause all I see in front of me is
You when we're finally alone

He was the bone king
Dead to all the world
Maybe dead's like being
Really high without th low
But I enjoy hangovers here

I could see them on the flipside of a molecule
But I have all the energy I can take for now

Holy floating
We're holy floating

Holy shit I think I'd rather be on the ground than flying
We're still fucking up in a healthy way for now

How dare you save my life
Then try to break my heart
You make alone so goddamn lonely
Makes me want to fall in love with
Everything and float above the ground

These days I do the same thing
Commit the same damn crime
If I'm not feeling out the flipside
Maybe I'm supposed to be here,
Maybe you're supposed to be here too

I could see them on the flipside of a molecule
But I have all the energy I can take for now

Holy floating
We're holy floating

Holy shit I think I'd rather be on the ground than flying
We're still fucking up in a healthy way for now

And my feet dont touch the ground

41. Nektar -- "Remember the Future Part II"
.
.
.
I think Parts I, II, and III made up the whole album.
.
.
.
Back when I'd grab an album on the strength of its cover art alone (the first
image in the video) and one of the few where the music of some unknown
(to me) band held up to the promise of the art.
.
Along with "Dark Side of the Moon" -- an album I wore out several times over.
