I hope to Gawd that she doesn't come back for Christmas

1. God knows. She looks like an ad for "Mother's Little Helper".
Pearl necklace and a quart bottle o' benzodiazapines.

2. She's hopped up on something for sure
Why Target thinks that this campaign is a good idea is beyond my understanding.

It's just plain creepy

3. She's definitely weird.
I saw a commercial with her in it today I hadn't seen before, where her face is pressed up against the entrance door to Target, and she didn't move, she didn't blink, nothing. Creeeeeepy!

4. Most of the ads are disgusting
the humans in the ads are childlike, stupid, and insecure. The solution to that angst is to buy better presents!! For the nervous types there are the 4 frickin' AM sales.
They are worse than the one where the toilet paper falls apart when used - and that was a real boundary crosser.

If anyone wonders why people just put up with the corporate takeover of this country - just watch their ads. We really are becoming their ideal.

5. Target ads used to be kind of clever, or showed fun design ideas
I've only seen that lady once, I think... was she drooling, with bloodshot eyes?

7. They feature comedian Maria Bamford, and she is pretty off the wall.
If you have never seen any of her stand-up, check her out on YouTube.

Here is an appearance she did on the Bob and Tom show which I think is hilarious;

10. Don't hate on Maria Bamford!
She's awesome.

You are, however, entitled to be sick of stupid ad campaigns.

I had no idea she was doing commercials, but these look like magnificent uses of her schtick, which is impressions of people who aren't famous.

14. Well, I haven't watched tv in many many years, but my brother just told me yesterday
that he emailed Target and told them how hideous this person was.

And, for him to do that, I'm guessing it had to be fairly hideous.

I won't repeat what he called her, cause it might get your thread locked.

16. Maybe turn off the TV?
I'm sorry you're letting that stuff into your home, my dear MrScorpio...

I don't keep the TV on as background, and so I'm not subjected to it.
