85. You realize that Mac Park was the #8 song for 1968, right?
Obviously, quite a few of us liked it :)

I loved it, especially the instrumental toward the end. To me, the instrumental part is the quintessential sound of the '60s.

We always provided home cooked meals for all the artists.
I was a huge fan anyway. I made a hearty beef stew and a vegetarian
stew. He ate some of each. He thanked me for the slow food. He liked the
glass of Bushmills also.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O42zwjj-9yI

Betcha' goin' fishin' all o' da' time
Baby goin' fishin' too.
Bet yo' life, Yo' sweet wife
Catch mo' fish than you.

Many fish bites if ya' got good bait,
Here's a little tip that I would like to relate.
Many fish bites if ya' got good bait.
I'ma goin fishin', Yes I'm goin' fishin,
And my baby goin' fishin' too.

I went on down to my fav'rit fishin' hole
Baby grab me a pole an' line.
Throw my pole on in, caught a nine poun' catfish
Now ya' know I brought 'im home for suppertime.

Provin' any fish bites if ya' got good bait,
Here's a little tip that I would like to relate.
Many fish bites if ya' got good bait.
I'ma goin fishin', Yes I'm goin' fishin,
And my baby goin' fishin' too.

Baby brother 'bout to run me outta my mind,
Say, can I go fishin' wi' chu?
I took 'im on down to the fishin' hole
Now what do you think that he did do?
Pulled a great big fish out da' bottom o' da pond,
Now he laughed and jumped 'cause he was real gone.
Many fish bites if ya' got good bait.
I'ma goin fishin', Yes I'm goin' fishin,
And my baby goin' fishin' too.

Put 'im in da' pot baby put 'im in da' pan
Honey cook 'im 'til he nice an' brown.
Make a batch o' buttermilk, Hoe cakes Mama
An' ya' chew them thangs an' ya' chomp 'em on down

Singin' any fish bites if ya' got good bait,
Here's a little tip that I would like to relate.
Many fish bites if ya' got good bait.
I'ma goin fishin', Yes I'm goin' fishin,
And my baby goin' fishin' too.

Play da' blues.....

Betcha' goin' fishin' all o' da' time
Baby goin' fishin' too.
Bet yo' life, Yo' sweet wife

54. And my number one favorite food song:
Couldn't find a good vid but here are the lyrics and audio:

http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/search/songs/?query=stephen%20stills%20feed%20the%20people

Stephen Stills: Feed the People

why not feed the people everywhere
and let the peace begin?
turn your swords to ploughshares everywhere
and feed the people

when they borrow in third world countries people need to be fed
so explain this to politicians while we send them guns instead
of the seeds that they're planting in the ground
making their own way
self sufficient without permission from the good old usa
but it seems they owe us a lot of money
and do you know what for?
cause the friends of senator arrogant made a killing on this civil war

chorus

it is hard to raise an army when your children are all fed
they got no motivation for making other people dead
even with governmentt persuasion of the most compelling kind
give them a choice they'll be looking at you as if you'd lost your mind
but then all of this craziness
it will not go away
till we stop feeding hatred with embargoes and blockades

why take the time to worry
about anybody else?
maybe talk about them
wonder how they felt
caught in the cross fire of someone else's fight
what is wrong?
nobody's right

all religions and ideologies
suffer from the truth
until lies become reality
when the people start to shoot
got a whole lot to answer for
but who are we to judge?
common sense and enough to eat
can settle any grudge
when the kindness of strangers
it means no disrespect
being honest with the help you give
means there's nothing to expect

chorus

56. Heywood Banks - Toast
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BILAFuSi-i0

All around the country and coast to coast
People always say what do you like most
I don't wanna brag I don't wanna boast
I always tell them I like toast

Yeah Toast!
Yeah Toast!

I get up in the morning about 6 am
Have a little jelly have a little jam
Take a piece of bread put it in the slot
Push down the lever and the wires get hot I get toast

Yeah Toast!
Yeah Toast!

Now there's no secret to toasting perfection
There's a dial on the side and you make your selection
Push to the dark or the light and then
If it pops too soon press down again make toast

Yeah Toast!
Yeah Toast!

When the first cave man drove in from the dregs
Didn't know what would go with the bacon and the eggs
Must've been a genius got it in his head
Plug the toaster in the wall buy a bag of bread make toast

Yeah Toast!
Yeah Toast!

Oui monsieur bonjour coquette
Uh huh croissante vous et ver
Maurice Chevalier Eiffel Tower
Oui Marie baguette bon soir

French Toast!
French Toast!

Cowboy, Enron, Longhorn, steer,
Barbara, Jenna, and George W.
143 Executions....

TEXAS TOAST!!

59. Diner by Martin Sexton.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxPAi2eBWlQ

You might have seen one out in Minnesota
Or maybe down by the sea in Sarasota
But they were made back in Worcester Mass
Of aluminum, bakelite and glass

Like a locomotive they were streamlined
And the blue prints were drawn up from a dream of mine
Slap 'em up put 'em on the train
Out to Michigan up to Maine

You may find a diner down in Georgia or
Carolina off the twenty by the piggly wiggly
In the country out of Waynesboro

Or when it's getting late and rainy out in New York State
You hang a louie off the thru-way
And you go and grab yourself a cheeseburger
At the little gem diner off six-niner

Diner my shiny, shiny love
In the night you're all I'm thinking of
Diner my shiny, shiny love

The cruiser pulls in where the trooper's always stop
As we dine over the chrome and formica table top

The cashier she always squints
By the gum and the bowl of mints
She's tapping her toe
To the Dean Martin on the consolette
Booth service and a cigarette we're loving it so

Side of fries, a dollar
Or the haddock plate, two ninety five
A rootbeer float a pepsi
And be sure to save some room for some apple pie
Better make it a-la-mode

Chorus

Dean Martin god rest his soul
Talkin' to me from the cereal bowl
There's a couple from the show me state
Knockin' back a little meatloaf plate

Diner my shiny, shiny love
Diner my shiny, shiny love
Diner my shiny, shiny, shiny love

Chicken and biscuits
With a side of gravy
Peach cobbler

65.  I heard a song called Cecil the Unwanted French Fry once and once only
and can pinpoint the date, time and place, but it's not on you tube, nor have I ever tracked it down. 38 years later I distinctly remember hearing it...Early AM , heading back to Albuquerque from Santa Fe on I-25, Labor Day weekend, on a local S.F. station, after seeing my first "burning of Zozobra" at the Santa Fe Fiestas.

80. The Mother of all Food Songs: Savoy Truffle, by The Beatles
Creme tangerine and Montélimar
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart
A coffee dessert--yes you know it's good news
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle.

Cool cherry cream, nice apple tart
I feel your taste all the time we're apart
Coconut fudge--really blows down those blues
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle.

You might not feel it now
But when the pain cuts through
You're gonna know and how
The sweat is going to fill your head
When it becomes too much
You'll shout aloud

But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle.

You know that what you eat you are,
But what is sweet now, turns so sour--
We all know Obla-Di-Bla-Da
But can you show me, where you are?..

Creme tangerine and Montélimar
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart
A coffee dessert--yes you know its good news
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle.
Yes, you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xN-DNcqYUcY

There's a time for lies
And a time for truth
I say, eye for an eye
Eye for a tooth

When I roamed young
I'd scavenge around
Every nook and cranny
Of our little town

It's nice, so nice, to be

Pull out the cannon boys
Steal us some wine
Puff Tijuana Smalls
SHAKE HANDS WITH BEEF

She's so fine
She's so sweet
Mom and Pop they raised her
On huge slabs of meat

She's fine

A man of nine
Water derby day
Twenty six pumps
On a Crossman
And it's time to play

It's nice, so nice, to be

Pull out the cannon boys
Steal us some wine
Puff Tijuana Smalls
SHAKE HANDS WITH BEEF

107. Big Rock Candy Mountain

Written by Harry McClintock in 1895, first recorded in 1928

On a summer day in the month of May a burly bum came hiking
Down a shady lane through the sugar cane, he was looking for his liking.
As he roamed along he sang a song of the land of milk and honey
Where a bum can stay for many a day, and he won't need any money

Oh the buzzin' of the bees in the cigarette trees near the soda water fountain,
At the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings on the Big Rock Candy Mountains

There's a lake of gin we can both jump in, and the handouts grow on bushes
In the new-mown hay we can sleep all day, and the bars all have free lunches
Where the mail train stops and there ain't no cops, and the folks are tender-hearted
Where you never change your socks and you never throw rocks,
And your hair is never parted

Oh the buzzin' of the bees in the cigarette trees near the soda water fountain,
At the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings on the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Oh, a farmer and his son, they were on the run, to the hay field they were bounding
Said the bum to the son, "Why don't you come to the big rock candy mountains?"
So the very next day they hiked away, the mileposts they were counting
But they never arrived at the lemonade tide, on the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Oh the buzzin' of the bees in the cigarette trees near the soda water fountain,
At the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings on the Big Rock Candy Mountains

One evening as the sun went down and the jungle fires were burning,
Down the track came a hobo hiking, and he said "Boys, I'm not turning."
"I'm heading for a land that's far away beside the crystal fountains;"
"So come with me, we'll go and see the Big Rock Candy Mountains."

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains, there's a land that's fair and bright,
The handouts grow on bushes and you sleep out every night
Where the boxcars all are empty and the sun shines every day
On the birds and the bees and the cigarete trees,
The lemonade springs where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains, all the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth and the hens lay soft-boiled eggs
The farmer's trees are full of fruit and the barns are full of hay
Oh I'm bound to go where there ain't no snow
Where the rain don't fall, the wind don't blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains, you never change your socks
And little streams of alcohol come a-trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats and the railroad bulls are blind
There's a lake of stew and of whiskey too
And you can paddle all around 'em in a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains the jails are made of tin,
And you can walk right out again as soon as you are in
There ain't no short-handled shovels, no axes, saws or picks,
I'm a-goin' to stay where you sleep all day
Where they hung the jerk that invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

I'll see you all this comin' fall in the Big Rock Candy Mountains!
