Now that my English homework is done, the poetry is showing up again...
Words

where do they come from
out of what part of me are they born
I don’t look for them but there they are
making me crazy till I let them come forth

tomorrow’s another day
that has yet to be seen
and it will have its own words

can I find the way
that will expose them
and me
can I release them
I want them to be seen
so that anyone who struggles
will know they’re not alone
that their words will emerge
through this birth that we call

a poem

1. My dear CaliforniaPeggy!
Another neat composition!

It seems to me that the poem is building up toward the end, if you will - words evolving, slowly coming together to become something bigger - a poem.

Quite neat!

:-)

It IS neat, and I thank you!

I was just letting my mind wander, as I gathered the words...

I appreciate your interpretation!

3. This is so true, Peggy...
It's what you do so well, too.

And... it's what I do in a (non-poetry) way when feeling the urge to stay up late and check in on DU.

I guess it is true...

It seems to be for me.

I like being here late...there's a different vibe from the daytime...

Thanks for your most welcome comments!

7. Ah, yes, the Words ...
They have a tendency to out themselves - often to our amazement, too often to our detriment.

But sometimes, to our utter surprise, they make sense - they cement friendships, they comfort, they communicate love, they convey our innermost thoughts in ways we can hardly comprehend.

And sometimes they take on a life of their own, unfettered and bound for distant places within the heart - and take us along for the ride.

8. My dear Nance...
God damn it woman, you have written there, especially in the last line, the beginning of your own very fine poem...without even breaking a sweat!

From the other side of the internetz, I thank you...

Your words, all of them, ring true...

What a lovely thing to say, sweetie...

People can, and do, meet on the internet...I have several good friends who I came to know and care about, right here...

And now they are real life friends too.

Thank you so much!

14. My dear applegrove!
Thank you!

Actually, the class I'm taking now is just English 1A. It's the gateway class I need in order to apply for admission to the MFA program. There are a number of classes I need to take also. So, it'll be a while before I get the criticism I need from my teachers...

Believe me, when I get there, I WILL be very excited!

15. What are words for, when no one listens anymore?
When no one listens, it's no use talking at all.

Do you hear me?

Do you care?
