3. Yes I do. I was just discussing this with my neighbor, as this is how we

are with each other.
Each trying to do the other in. Before the other gets the first.
With a healthy dose of feisted on one's own petard thrown into the mix.

5. I grew up reading mad
and there were always mads at the cabin. Us kids and the grandparents used to read them over and over again.

You can get a CD of every mad magazine ever published. I would love to get my hands on that!

7. Their "Summer Of 42" parody was one of their best
The "Hermie" character is in bed, under the covers, yelling and going "WHOOOOOOOOOOO" and in the next panel we see he's under there alone, with the "Dorothy" character saying "If you think THAT'S fun, just wait until I get in there WITH you!"

18. I also remember the dialog in the drug store from that parody.
Hermie: "Well, um, I want to have a good time... but I want to be protected."
Clerk: "So... you want a chocolate soda in a clean glass?"

9. The inside back cover that, if you folded it from top to bottom into a trifold...

...the text and picture would become a punchline for the original.

The folded text at the bottom says: The Last One.

10. Used to be brilliant
sucks now. And MadTV blew chunks.

It's sad really, considering the brilliance of the old days

19. They were bought by Time Warner and began running ads
That pretty much destroyed it, as Bill Gaines always knew it would.

13. I have much love for Don Martin.
His artwork was always hilarious, and he had a knack for coming up with the most amazing onamonapias.

"Sizafitz" remains my favorite word depicting a cigarette being put out in someone's eye.

23. I mainly remember Dave Berg looking at people...
...even though the jokes were rarely all that funny. Don Martin was weirder, and probably my favorite.

Then there were the TV/movie/musical parodies.

24. Hidden images!
The best part has got to have been the pictures which folded in on themselves to make a new image - whoever conceptualized and drew those was awesome.
