1. Usually,
I jump out of my chair and dive for it with my open hand outstretched, so I catch it before it hits the ground.

Usually. ;)

9. Not only any one that I drop, but any that I find on the flloor.
It's almost a compunction of mine...that and pens.

I am extraordinaly picky as to what type of pen I use, and get mildly upset when I find they change the style, or discontinue the type I cueently use.

Then it takes me a while to find a new type I like, and then buy a shitload of them.

After I either use them all up, or lose them, repeat the process.

It's actually pretty stressful for me when this happens.

My kids make fun of me.

10. If it rolls under the desk, I don't want to crouch to get it, so no. If it's handy, sometimes.
Of course, I'm doing this from memory. Who uses paper clips anymore?

11. Office supplies are sometimes hard to get hold of--
I worked a project where copies of everything had to be paper-clipped together and we had a wait (a wait!) for paperclips of a week or so. I have no explanation for how things like this happen. I broke down and got a 12 pack of 100 ct boxes from Staples. I've been bringing my own pens since forever. But every paperclip was suddenly precious. I was walking about the office with my eyes at the carpet in case I spied any dropped ones. I contemplated "borrowing" them from the desks of others.

Little things like that send me into Depression-mode ("Oh look--a bit of string! I can use that if my shoe lace breaks!") I squirrel away twist-ties from bread and plastic bags from shopping whenever I get any, too. Which is daft because otherwise I have no problems spending money--I just can't toss things that might be useful.
