1. The Elephant Sanctuary is Awesome!

I wish the San Antonio Zoo would release "Lucky" to the sanctuary. The Sanctuary has agreed to take Lucky, expenses are paid for her trip to Tennessee, but the zoo will not release her.

is NOT an environmentalist in any way. He's probably a right wing money guy watching the bottom line to the detriment of the critters.

I think you've most likely described him to a "t"! I don't see how anyone could justify keeping Lucky in the surroundings that she's in when the Elephant Sanctuary has offered her a home free of charge to the zoo.

The zoo's latest ploy is to get another elephant - so now two suffer instead of just one. Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture appointed by President Obama, was behind the second elephant winding up at the SA Zoo. The second elephant had been confiscated from a bad situation, but I'm afraid the zoo isn't much better. It was Vilsack's decision to send it to the zoo.
