Just finished planting my early garden.
Edited on Sun Mar-28-04 04:10 PM by Padraig18
Tony and I just finished putting in the lettuce, spinach, carrots, beets and turnips, and took the straw off of the potato hills. There should be some good eating here in about 5-6 weeks. :)

1. That sounds wonderful!
Have you, um...factored in your dog's possible digging habit? We used to have a dog that loved to rampage thru the beans. :)

2. Yes, we have.
Grover doesn't dig, but the little guy seemed INTENSELY interested in what we were doing. ;)

3. He might help you dig the potatoes!
Our collie mix watched us dig a stump out for an hour or so. We rested. SHE started digging at the stump. :)

6. Mmmmm
I love nothing more than having fresh lettuce! No brussel sprouts? Should not be long until you can have a fresh salad. Sounds so good.

7. Mmmm
I'm in CA. My early girl tomatoes are in their boxes, as are the snow peas. I'll be following with a few more tomatoes, peppers, squashes, and green beans soon. I can't wait for my homegown veggies!
