Complicating factor -- I only have $9.00 in cash left, so ... is there any good free stuff to see, with free parking? Walking tours, poetry/book readings at bookstores, parks ... ??? I need ideas...

Eating ain't a problem. Company credit card will keep me fed, I just can't use it for entertainment.

Thanks in advance

1. The Brooklyn Bridge
and South Street Seaport -- free entertainment, seems like there is always something going on there. I just love being in the city. You don't have to spend a dime.

2. The Staten Island ferry is free too
and you get a good look at the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline (though, of course, this part was better pre 9/11)

3. And of course
you should absolutely take a leisurely walk in Central Park. You can go see Strawberry Field, the castle on Sesame Street, the sheep meadow--it's really endless. Honestly, the Park is one of the best parts of the whole city.

4. nyc
Walking tour. Start at Time Square and walk down broadway, take subway to village, walk around, take subway to Met museum and Gugg and walk around east side, take bus across park walk around west side and take bus south and end up in chelsea. Just an idea, you'd see alot in a day because your always moving.
