1. Believe it or not, when that song was first released, I was too naive to
understand what the Kinks were singing about! :)

Love, love, love the song.

3. You might not understand it, if you do not think on what women and man could be about.

Man being soldier, women being servant.

It is about people almost being deceived, by the bad side. But then still showing love to their enemies. And even ideas of humility in that all have some bad also or some soldier side. There are also concepts of either side of that being in light or dark, but that gets complicated and is mostly about ideas of hope and despair.

But you have to take the thoughts of sex out of the song, and see the song in that way.

Although that is just the metaphor of the woman/man symbols, women are love nurturing and caring, men are the soldiers or enforcers. Although it is not about gender. And in many places, in many texts, people are told they should be servants, so there is that also.

So most religions like Christianity and Buddhism, are the sharing V woman type, where the most people and community are on top, and most authoritarian structures are the ^ with one person on the top and everyone working for them with more Spartan like ideals.

It is a really old concept, and in many places, and it does not go against my beliefs, since it also matches many things in the Bible, but is also a metaphor so is not perfect.

And the star of David is the upside down triangle and the triangle overlapped. So there is that also.

The song has many clues, the high voice low voice, ideas of purity, the idea of losing spine as in fall of the snake. much information in the song, idea of kneeling before man, that is bad. However that was after the fall so could be getting back up. The song also says, almost fell, another clue that they figured it out and on the knees could be praying for power and help in the situation, and actually fall to the floor then kneeling both fits praying for power or support. There is a significant possibility of Lola being turned to better ways of light in that song, by love. Song also has looked into eyes, so sure it is about that. It is also without judgement, again a sign of coming from love. Could be the singer turned to soldier side, but that does not match the rest of the song, so think that is lack of judgement, or even humility.

This song really sounds more servant then soldier. Although not sure with past tense in song. Really sounds like the girls though. Yea, it is about turning and love. Although might be not a story of a success, but about those events. Although still trying in the end. Seems to be that story also. Yea it is that story, sure of it.

Come Dancing - The Kinks.

You can really see it in this song, has the going down the stairs and always trying. the mirror, the guy not getting it, has the cop, many things in the Come Dancing song. No fear, even the railing is ^V It is about love trying to reach a person in that dancing song for sure.
