Traffic School is a pain in the ass
Just sat through 8 hours of protracted, lengthened, slowly spoken traffic school.

I did find one thing worthwhile, however - you can fight tickets. At least in California.

IN CA there is a difference between "Speed Limit" and "Maximum Speed." SL is more of an advisory - and if you can prove you were going a safe speed, you can beat them. Now this isn't easy - every road is tested for speed safety and set at the 85th percentile. Look up what that number is, and its usually a good 10-15 miles over the posted speed limit. Now just because this number is higher, doesn't mean you get off scott free. If there were road conditions that might be more likely to cause accidents (rain, snow, fog, dusk, etc) then the cop almost always wins.
