Survey: Women more likely to date men with iPhones.
A series of surveys have cast iPhone users as everything from social butterflies to porn-watching egomaniacs to phone junkies. The latest claims that male iPhone users are luckier in love, too.

Phone retailer iPhones4u (albeit not the most impartial or well-known of research bodies) surveyed 1,500 women and found that 54 percent of them said they would be more likely to date a man if he has an iPhone. There's been some controversy surrounding the iPhone4u survey, which you can learn more about here.

Thirty-seven percent of respondents said "owning an iPhone makes a man seem more reliable, to which nearly all went on to say that a second date would be likely," TechCrunch writes.

"If he has an iPhone then he's obviously intelligent and well-off," one respondent said.

Lucy, a 23-year-old school teacher, noted "There's just something about a man who's good with computers that makes him more trustworthy." She added, "If he's got the cash for an iPhone then he must be very good at his job, too."

1. Got no iPhone and you got no Apps
Then you got no woman, and there you are.

Not as catchy.

3. For some reason ....
this study depresses me. I have an iPod touch. Ladies, you tell me, is that enough?

5. Nope!
Don't believe in games. Even if they might work. (Especially if they might work)

6. I date almost every weekend and I have no Iphone.
Of course it's always with the same woman. :hi: :loveya:

"If he has an iPhone then he's obviously intelligent and well-off,"

So, it's the 21st century equivalent to a Cadillac and a bag-phone.

7. Those "I'm a Mac/I'm a PC" commercials have begun to have their intended effect.

Excellent

Jobs' plan to populate the word with Apple cultists is all falling into place.

12. If you are looking for legitimate scientific research of any kind
avoid the HuffPost like the plague. They are rapidly becoming the clearinghouse for left wing woo/pseudoscience.

13. Honestly.
If I were out there dating, I would prefer someone who leaves his cell phone in his car and actually conducts intelligent conversation over dinner instead of being on call constantly for his buds.

Good luck out there folks. It's getting weirder out there all the time.

15. What really sucks these days, especially in the dating scene...
is that if you're interested in someone, and you talk to them, if you want to get to know more about them, they say "oh, go facebook me." When I hear that, I'm like ":wtf:" I'm right there, talking to you face to face! Tell me then! Gah. It's frustrating.

17. Ya know, I have a few nominally shallow qualities that are pretty
much essential when I am considering dating someone, but never have I looked at a man's phone and thought "ooooh, now there's a man I can see myself with for the next 30 years"

19. The Best Phone
on a date is a turned off phone, doesn't matter what the logo is. In fact, I'd rather not know what kind of phone a man has, because if I don't it means he isn't using it when he's with me. 'Course, I'm a fogey of 52, and we didn't used to live life with a phone in our hand.
