But in the bad old days before Modern Medicine, we didn't have all that fancy stuff...if a fish crawled up your urethra and put his spines out, you just pulled out your knife, cut your dick off before your bladder exploded (the fish will completely block your urethra and you can't get the bastard out because of the spines), stuck a band-aid on it and went about your business. The next week your friends will all be talking about you...

but the thing is, the pain this fish causes makes amputation look like a REAL good treatment option. People who have had Prince Albert piercings (it goes through the lower side of the urethra) report it's not pleasant (okay, it hurts like hell) to get your urethra pierced with one needle. Imagine having it pierced with eight to ten of them, and you know what this fish does.
