a little brag on my dear departed FIL
this picture was in the "lifestyle" section of the Sunday paper (family, esp lady is a local landmark) but what I saw (and am rather proud that I could tell) was all the stonework. Confirmed by husband - it is his father's work. Fred was the coolest.

that's not Fred, that is the lady's husband - it was just a local spotlight story on that family, but I saw the stonework and knew who had built it. Somewhere in the scrapbooks are some actual stories of Fred and some of the work they did over the years.

He has been gone almost 20 years now, but when I drive around Tucson you can see his little monuments in various places. That is kind of nice.
