I took a walk at lunch today along a bike path which crosses a suburban road. Beautiful day, warm temperatures - it was especially nice after several days of rain and gloom.
A van stopped to let me pass through a crosswalk. Immediately behind the van I heard a horn beeping and obscenities being hollered. Seems a motorcyclist was impatient with the van and expressing his frustration. The van driver abruptly accelerated before I could enter the crosswalk, evidently intimidated. The biker saw me and I pointed to my chest saying "He was waiting for ME" in explanation. In a huff, he roared off.
A nice sunny afternoon, and he was riding his bike outside allegedly enjoying the spring weather. And when inconvenienced for a few seconds he starts yelling and pitching a fit.
Some people scare me, plain and simple. So much anger being carried around, ready to be unleashed on anyone for any reason. Scary.
