1. They are one
Hobbes is a creation of Calvins mind. Er, or is it the other way around?

2. Calvin's just a precocious boy without his foil and partner in crime.
Hobbes is just a stuffed tiger without Calvin to bring him to life.

3. I love them both...
My son has shades of Calvin-ness.
But because I am a kitty fan, I do love me some Hobbes.
It is so hard to decide.

8. My Son Also!

He has a little white stuffed seal that he named "Pinky". I can almost see the Calvin & Hobbsish relationship.

By the way, he's going to be 4 next week. Isn't amazing how you just keep falling in love with your children over & over & over again?

9. I know...
Every day I find new things to love about my son.
His Hobbes when he was a baby was a tiny stuffed sea serpent that we names "Binks".

4. birth control for the 80s
the thought of having a child similar to Calvin was just as much of a promotion for condoms as the onset of the AIDS epidemic.
