coupon guilt...
Have a set of coupons from "Half Price Books" and the Monday/Tuesday one was for 40% off any item, but they're only open another 15 minutes or so, which means I'll miss out.

Now, I have no idea if they have anything I particularly want, let alone NEED, and if they did and it was a $10 item I'd only save $4. And by staying away, I save 100%.

So why do I feel wasteful for NOT buying something I don't need, just because I have a coupon?

And will this light a fire under me to get out there tomorrow or Thursday to use my 30% off coupon? Friday and Saturday hardly seem worth the effort for 20%.

But then Sunday is 50% off. Some item I don't even know exists, or what it might cost.

1. Coupons are to humans what pellets are to chickens.

2. My Depression-baby aunt...
...used to amuse herself by going through the newspaper
ads about sale items... add them up... and figure out
how much she saved by not going out and buying ANYTHING
at all.
Depression-babies were a little understandably warped.
