Semi-homade PIZZA!
Gee, I feel just like Sandra Lee.

I'm a bachelor for a few more days and tonight I have a taste for pizza.

I bought a (cheap!) Winn-Dixie store-brand pepperoni-sausage-somekindaham frozen pizza.

I'll add Parmesan, mushrooms, Gorgonzola, anchovies, and (maybe) some chopped Hoisin chicken I grilled last night.

PIG OUT!

Miz t. comes home Saturday and I'll go back to a nice 'balanced' diet again.
;-)

1. Sounds great. We do the semi-homemade pizza thing too..
We take a Freschetta thick crust 4 cheese pizza, cook it half way , then top it with fresh tomato, basil, green onion and mozzarella slices and finish baking.
yummmm...

3. Dominoes at Mattapan has a special; One large - one topping pizza, extra cheese, $5.99
That's Mattapan neighborhood in Boston.

No limit on number of pizzas.

Until that offer expires, I see no reason to make my own.

I can't buy the ingredients cheaper than that.

And, truthfully, these pizzas are pretty tasty!

4. Mmmm...in a pinch, anything in my house gets turned into pizza
if it looks pizza-worthy:

English muffin, muffaletta spread, provolone--passably pizza.

Pita bread, pesto, shredded mozzarella (crapload of oregano)--pizza enough for me. Maybe add tomato slices.

Bagel, tomato sauce, American cheese (crapload of oregano)--thatsapizza--mm.

Ellio's frozen pizza--crapload of oregano, basil, little rosemary, some capacolla--eventually, it's a pizza.

Kaiser roll, toasted, chicken and BBQ sauce, monterey jack cheese--Southwestern pizza.

My kitchen is like Dr. Frankenstein meets Papa John.

I don't feed my husband my creations, but it's excellent for the munchies.

8. If you want a quick "zza" fix, keep some whole wheet tortillas around.
Get the ones that don't need refrigeration. Unopened they keep for about forever.

Heat the oven to 375, spread on some pasta sauce (jar type, only need a couple of spoon fulls per tortilla), and top with whatever. Only cook them until the cheese melts and the edges of the tortilla start to brown. Damn those are good - and easy!
