I think DU randomly generates hearts

The way my threads and responses sink lately, I have a hard time believing anyone is paying attention to me.

If this isn't a fluke, thanks to whoever has given me hearts. :-)

4. Ran out of money to donate ( and therefore hearts) pretty quick, but

I try to pay attention to everyone's ideas and opinions except a small handful of people who I have found to be basically full of shit most of the time ( and I have about 6 people on ignore). That's an extremely small percentage of the people that post here, and you are certainly not one of them. Sometimes a lot of people are paying attention who don't respond, but read your words and appreciate them. I have always thought of myself as being extremely anonymous here, but have been surprised to have received feedback recently that let me know that more people than I would have guessed ( of course I would have guessed practically no one) had been aware of some of my posts, ideas, areas where I was knowledgeable etc. It's entirely possible , if not likely, that it's a similar situation for you...:fistbump:

I haven't posted very many OPs in my short time here but when I do they usually sink to the bottom pretty quick! It does warm my heart that at least two people have noticed me on DU enough to give me a heart! :)

19. Ha! When I started getting them, I thought Skinner and them might be punk'n me.

Then I thought, naw they wouldn't do that to a random shmoe like me.

At that point I realized that they came from real DUers. And I'm like wow, man ... this is trippy.

So then I decided to start being nice in order to not feel all awkward about getting the hearts.

And now I just gave two of them away because I apparently have a surplus for some reason.

But besides all of that, I also wind up with a STAR! Can you believe it? A STAR.... for me?

What is this world coming to?

Now I have to be so much nicer than I planned on to make up for all this.

Hope I can pull it off.
