2. I used to but haven't for many years. It became unfashionable
when people allergic to perfume began complaining. Since I thought that my perfume might actually make someone sick, I changed my whole idea of wearing it. AFter all,the idea was to be MORE attractive, not less...

6. I find it gets to cloying
and makes me want to puke after a while. I've just gotten so sensitive to scents as I've aged. I used to love to wear perfume.

8. Sonia Rykiel

One of the very very few things I'll spend money on, I hate brand names and crap like that but I love Sonia Rykiel.
I wear it with a dab of patchouli. It's my thing.

9. No and I would be happy if no one did. I cannot stand the chemical
stench that some people have emanating up to 50 feet from them. It stinks. But of course they think because they paid $50 for it on the street from some street vendor who told them it was "authentic" that it is some wonderful thing. It isn't. It is just offensive. Keep your stink to yourself.

10. I wear Arpege sometimes
but not very often
The bottle I have is over 10 yrs old and kept at the back of a drawer in the bathroom vanity
For everyday I wear Jean Nate
I've gotten to where strong scents annoy me and maybe it's because so many of the modern perfumes just don't smell very good to me

15. Intriguing combinations of scents!
I like the illustrations and descriptions, and the 'imp's ears' samples since I don't live near enough one of their retailers to sniff them ( :o you know, the perfume not the retailer! )

17. It's all mail order, really.
I'm not near them either, I just order imps of the scents that most strike my fancy from descriptions, and the ones I like, I invest in the 5ml bottles of. (And every time you make an order, they throw so many freebie imps in, I'll never get through them all!)

19. Love to shower with pure lavender bath gel
and go to bed wearing Chanel 5. <---------- got this idea from Marilyn Monroe when she said .. "why, nothing at all but Chanel 5" when asked what she wore to bed. :)

23. Escape by Calvin Klein.
Have used it forever. After my shower, before I leave the house at 05:30 a.m. to go to work. And that's it for the rest of the day. It's a very light scent and I use it sparingly.

But I can commisserate with other posters who say the smell of perfume makes them sick. A lady who is on the same bus with me every morning wears a scent that immediately gives me a headache. The first few times she sat next to me, I had to get up and move, because I was afraid I would start heaving. It was just awful, reminded me a bit of a mixture of toilet cleaner and moth balls, and she must have poured it on herself with a ladle.

28. I do not mind perfume or cologne...
But on occasion I will experience what you described...a repulsive gagging scent from someone. I always flee, as you did, wondering how and why...

24. No. Most frangrances make me sneeze, wheeze and cough
The sweet ones trigger an asthma attack. Even with medication, I end up with problems.

I stay out of crowds because of my problems - there will always be someone wearing a scent or that used one in some product that will trigger my allergies.

25. No and I can't stand it. I have asthma... It makes me ill.
And I can't understand why other people douse themselves with the stuff. It's not like we're living in the Middle Ages and can only bathe once a year... x(

26. No. I used to, but when my mom got sick (MRSA), she couldn't
be around any perfurmes or anything, so I stopped wearing it. Never started up again after she passed away.
