Do you agree with this chart?

The only one I dont agree with is The Die Hard one. I think Die Hard With a Vengeance was better than Die Hard 2.

1. The Mad Max one should look like the Godfather one...
...or, at worst, the Terminator one. Thunderdome blew chunks.

2. This is purely my bias, but Superman the Movie and Supes
II should be pretty damn equal. STM was probably one of the best superhero creation stories out there(at least in the top three best). I do disagree about the Matrix one, I'm weird, I liked all three, but part I was the best.

6. I'm with you on the Matrix
I'm one of the weirdos who liked the trilogy as a whole. And the Anamatrix really added to the experience.

3. I agree with you on Die Hard, and I also disagree with the chart on Indy and Back To The Future.
I think Last Crusade was far superior to Temple of Doom, and Back To The Future 2 was way better than 3.

I also think the first Mad Max and Terminator movies were better than the chart gives them credit for.

Mostly agree with Lord Of The Rings, but I'd give the edge to 3.

5. No. that chart is shite
Matrix was medium, low, high in my book. The first one was so damn predictable and its only redeeming quality was graphics.
Spiderman was medium all the way across.
Terminator just sucked from one all the way through to the TV shows and the governership.

And where the F is Robocop in this list?

10. Robocop 3 - wherein Robocop helps inner-city kids save a building from a developer.
Seriously.

12. Yeah, you can tell their heart wasn't in Robo 3
Come on: when you write a Robocop sequel Robocop refuses to be in, you gotta ask yourself if you should really be doing this.

Now let's talk about the cute mad scientists. The first one was okay, I guess--Bob Morton was really the focus there, even though he wound up getting blown to shit halfway through the film. (BTW who was the cokehead in the green dress? I REALLY liked her.) The second one was Dick Cheney in lipstick. But the third one? She and the rebel with the beard were the only two really likable characters in the whole movie. The genius 9-year-old was a cliche, the whole movie had a xenophobic plot (the Evil Japanese Corporation out to take over the world) and as for the flying Robocop...it DID come with a portable shark tank, right?

7. Die Hard 3 should be higher than 2, Matrix 1 should go all way to top, Terminator 1 should be higher
but not as high as Term 2, and Indiana Jones 2 should be lower. The others I either agree with, or haven't seen. heheh.

8. I have not seen a number of those trilogies
I certainly would not rate Star Wars over Star Trek. The Matrix one made me laugh for its truth. I found Lord of the Rings to be unwatchable after about forty minutes. Spiderman I ended so badly that I refuse to watch #2 or #3.

I would rate Terminator I over #2, and Star Trek had more than 3, my personal preference is for #1 and #4 and thought SNL was hilarious when they said the 6th one should be called Star Trek 6: The Apology.

9. I haven't seen all of them, but I t hink you're right from what I have seen.
Die Hard 3 was a heck of a lot more entertaining than 2, but 2 wasn't bad.

Star Trek 1 was "ugh". It's a wonder they got ST2 made after that one.

Indiana Jones 2 should be totally white. That was a racist, sexist narrative mess.

18. Kate Crapshaw's character was so horribly annoying, I kept hoping they'd kill her off.
I did like Last Crusade though. Connery as Indy's dad was inspired casting, and Denholm Elliot was great.

20. You're being far too generous calling the character horribly annoying.
Can count one hand the number of movies I walked out on. Temple of Dope was one of them.

Agree on Last Crusade, both actors were excellent.

17. Don't agree with Mad Max, Rocky or Blade.
I thought the 1st Mad Max movie was the best. I liked the third Blade and thought the third Rocky sucked ass. For a lot of these movies, I haven't seen the sequels.

Terminator 2 was NOT better than the original.

Guess they're just ranking the "big 3" or the first 3.

And I guess I'm the only person who kind of liked Godfather 3

25. Mostly
Planet of the Apes was not a trilogy (5) but they sure did drop in quality.

No sequel to Rocky was half as good as the original and again it was not a trilogy (6 I think)

The third Indiana Jones movie was much better than the second. As far as I am concerned it is still a trilogy. :-)

The third Star Trek movie (again not a trilogy, why don't they include the first three James Bonds if every franchise that has more than three will be included) was much worse than the first.

And yes, the third Die Hard movie was far superior to the second. Almost as good as the first one. Another I shall pretend is a trilogy.

28. They left out Starship Troopers.
1. Pretty good, book was better, though

2. Ugh... bad...

Marauder: Holy Shit... MST3K-worthy. I have a joke regarding the monster on planet OM-1, but if I told it here, the mods would yank my comment for being dirty. The only saving grace of this film, is that with the Marauder suits, Heinlein's spinning in his grave at a slightly slower rate.
