Phenomenal. But even at this point, the energy was starting to fade.

1. I remember seeing them
live back in the 60s. Those were about the 3 best concerts I'd ever been to. They sure know how to put on a show.

2. Lucky you!
I did not see them live until about 10 years ago...after The Ox died and Pino Paladino took over on the bass. Keith Moon had been long dead at this point. They were OK when I saw them, but not even close to what they once were.

I think they were the greatest rock band ever.

6. I saw them in the 80's.
Hard to believe they are still going in 2010.

5. I think they would have done better if they reformatted their songs...
to reflect their current age...perhaps sang them differently. I kept cringing, waiting for Daltrey to fuck up a high note.

7. I saw them in the 90's and they still rocked. I think they should have retired.
Rock stars were never supposed to keep living this long. At the very least they should retire if they can't party themselves to death.

8. It was really
just half a Who, with Moon and Entwistle being dead. I never did see them after Keith Moon died.

Yeah, they looked old, but for me (who is also old) I kind of liked it that they were still willing to put themselves out there and rock on. Kind of nostalgic.

10. EXCELLENT example of the power they USED to have!
.
"Boo-YAH!!", said Pete. And I almost blinked and missed it when he slammed
the back of his guitar with his forehead.
.
Thanks, LFP.

11. I am SO Happy You Posted This.
When we were watching them at half-time tonight at the party I was at, one of my friends who is a Big Who fan looked at me and said "This sure isn't 1977."

I knew EXACTLY what she was talking about.

This.

We both giggled and admired them for what they can still do.

But THIS is Who They Were.

Thanks for the Reminder. :)

12. I didn't think they were that bad.
I didn't grow up with them, being born in '75 but it is rock n roll. We have a shortage of that right now.
